Registered Nurse-Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Registered Nurse-Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, stress laboratory, work with Cardiology group as needed and may be needed to assist with duties depending on new cardiologist’s workload.

Job Overview: The registered nurse in Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and stress lab is a nurse who understands cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses and diseases, is compassionate and has excellent communication and people skills, who can identify and prescribe appropriate exercise, education, and socialization for cardiac and pulmonary patients. This nurse must also be able to prepare patients for stress testing and assist as a team member during and after the stress test. As a Mason District Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary department member, the registered nurse is expected to participate in the hospital-wide performance improvement program.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program.
  • Minimal requirements of RN or BSN
  • Licensed in the state of Illinois
  • CPR certified.
  • ACLS certified or willing to become certified

Expected pay for this position is $32-34.  Full-time 40 hours per week.  The actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.


Environmental Services Tech

Job Summary

E.V.S. staff are responsible for the cleanliness and disinfection of the Hospital, clinics, and outbuildings. They will achieve this by following strict guidelines for disinfection and sanitizing processes, and the set cleaning procedures.

The core responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting Hospital and Clinic surfaces and equipment
  • Removing trash and bio-hazard waste.
  • Physically checking and locking doors.
  • Keeping E.V.S. equipment clean and organized.
  • Following all E.V.S. and MDH policies and procedures.
  • Monitor for wear and tear and submit a work request to maintenance.
  • Specialty cleaning of lights, vents, ceilings. Etc.
  • Always maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Mixing chemicals – following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Any additional tasks requested by the Director or E.V.S. person.
  • Documentation of all tasks.
  • On Call required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Read/Write/Speak in English.
  • Current Illinois Driver’s License.
  • Good people skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

CNA/Telemetry Tech

Mason District Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse’s Assistant/Telemetry Tech for the Medical Surgical Unit. The CNA/TLM Tech is responsible for providing patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Staff to patient ratios (1:3) on the Medical Surgical Unit at Mason District Hospital allow our nursing staff to provide more one on one care to each of our patients which helps to create a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Certified Nurse’s Assistant Program
  • Demonstrates competency in giving skilled patient care
  • CPR Certification required

Responsibilities:

The Nursing Assistant/Telemetry Tech directly reports to the Registered Nurse on Med-Surg. The Tech is responsible for performing activities related to patient care such as but not limited to bathing and dressing patients, taking vital signs, answering patient calls, examining patients for bruises and other injuries/wounds, turning or repositioning patients when indicated, lifting patients into beds, wheelchairs or exam tables, cleaning and sanitizing patient areas, toileting patients when needed, and changing linens and restocking rooms with necessary supplies to provide the highest level of care possible.

The Tech assumes responsibility and accountability for all telemetry and/or Monitor Bed Unit (MBU) patients for a designated period of time. During this time, the Telemetry Tech monitors the cardiac strips. The TLM Tech runs cardiac strips every four hours and whenever there is a change in the cardiac rhythm and notifies the RN with any concerns. The TLM Tech is responsible for documenting the patient’s rhythm every four hours and as needed. The nurse determines what duties to assign to the tech outside the daily responsibilities.

Full-time, Hours of Work: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week (0700-1930), alternating weekends & holidays. $17-$20/Hour with additional night shift and weekend differential. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.


Registered Nurse (RN)

Mason District Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care, treatment, and education through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3) on the Medical-Surgical Unit at Mason District Hospital allow our nurses to provide more one-on-one care to each patient, which helps to create a safe environment for both patients and staff.

The Medical Surgical Department at Mason District Hospital has several admission types, including observation patients, inpatients, swing bed patients, monitor bed (MBU) patients, outpatients, and surgical holding patients.

Patients admitted to the M/S Unit may be admitted for a variety of diagnoses ranging from congestive heart failure, small bowel obstruction, wound infections, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), pneumonia, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, atrial fibrillation with RVR, and DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis). Swing bed patients may be admitted for further need of IV antibiotics or rehabilitation, including physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy.

Mason District Hospital is focused on developing a healthier community through its medical innovations and preventative programs, rapid response to patients’ needs, and compassionate care for both patients and the community.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited Professional School of Nursing
  • Must have valid Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure
  • CPR Certification is required
  • Willing to obtain ACLS and PALS Certifications
  • Compassionate, understanding, self-motivated, and able to communicate well with others
  • Must be willing to cross-train to other departments within MDH

  • PRN, Hours of Work: 1830-0700, $42/Hour with additional night shift and weekend differential.

Health Information Management/HIM Clerk

We are seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk.  The HIM Clerk ensures the integrity and confidentiality of medical records by performing a variety of clerical and scanning duties. This role supports physicians, providers, and hospital staff in accessing patient records and responds to information requests from courts, insurance providers, legal entities, and others by hospital policies and procedures. Under the direct supervision of HIM/Patient Access Supervisor, the HIM Clerk is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and retrieving patient medical records within a healthcare facility.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience
  • High School diploma required, with some college preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • HIM department: 1 year preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong clerical skills, including typing and familiarity with hospital computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

MD Immediate Care LPN or CMA

We seek a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our MD Immediate Care team.  The LPN or CMA will assist in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.  This role involves direct patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, and ensuring excellent patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program or Graduate of an accredited post-secondary school for Medical Assistant training.
  • Licensure & Certification: Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of Illinois or a Valid Medical Assistant Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology.

Surgical Technician

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (flexible based on surgery schedule)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting surgical procedures in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel during operations.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room by setting up necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Transport patients to and from the surgical area while ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Adjust surgical lighting and equipment for optimal conditions.
  • Pass instruments, supplies, and other materials to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures.
  • Hold retractors and cut sutures as directed by the surgical team.
  • Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts to ensure safety and compliance with protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Surgical technologist training program and certified in Illinois or at least 1-year on-the-job experience performing surgical/scrub tech duties.
  • CPR certificate required.

Clinic Billing Rep I

Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM  (Full-time)

Qualifications: CPT/ICD-10 experience preferred.  Insurance billing experience preferred.  Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team. High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities: Ensure day-to-day insurance tasks are accurately completed.  Precise and timely data entry, insurance filing, collection, and posting of daily receipts.

Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting or assisting in routine and specialized Radiographic, CT, and potentially other imaging procedures. The position requires strong independent judgment, adaptability, and the ability to perform procedures with accuracy to obtain specific diagnostic results under the supervision of a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized Radiographic and CT imaging procedures as required, with the potential to expand to other procedures.
  • Demonstrate competency in performing various diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Adapt imaging procedures to ensure accurate diagnostic outcomes.
  • Utilize independent judgment and problem-solving skills while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate effectively with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  • Maintain a strong ability to think critically and manage complex cases as necessary.

  • ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).

Maintenance Mechanic

Hours of Work: Full-time, Second Shift (some weekends required)

Job Summary

Maintenance Personnel are responsible for general facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, work orders, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, general groundskeeping, snow removal, and landscaping. Jobs are in various locations across all Mason District Hospital facilities. This position reports to the Director of Plant Operations. Weekend and on-call hours are required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Read/Write/Speak in English.
  • Current Illinois Driver’s License.
  • Three years of previous experience with maintenance and/or construction
  • Ability to read multimeter
  • Good telephone and communication skills.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors.

Emergency Department Tech

Hours of Work: PRN

Qualifications: Must have valid Illinois EMT-B or CNA certification and valid CPR card.

Responsibilities: Responsible for performing various patient care activities and related non-professional services including determining patient’s needs, providing direct care, monitoring vital signs and assisting with admissions, transfers and discharge of patients. Responsibilities also include registration of patients through the hospital computer system.


Speech Therapist

We are seeking a Licensed Speech Therapist to join our Team.  The Speech Therapist provides highly skilled evaluations and patient care for in-patients, out-patients, swing-bed, and home health clients.  Therapy clients may include infants, toddlers, preschoolers, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Speech Therapist by the State of Illinois.
  • Applicants must be graduates from an accredited ST program with a minimum of BS in ST and must possess an Illinois license or be eligible.
  • Applicants must be highly motivated, experienced professionals who can start programs, be mentors, and work independently in the inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
  • One must have a current and valid Illinois Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and car insurance is required.
  • One must possess good handwriting, excellent communication skills, good computer operation skills, and operation of patient care equipment.

This is a full-time position. The expected pay is $36.75-44.43. Experience, skills, and internal equity will determine the actual pay.


Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing highly skilled evaluations and patient care for in-patients, out-patients, swing-bed clients, Early Intervention, Lymphedema clients, and home health clients. Occupational Therapy clients may include infants, toddlers, preschoolers, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be graduates from an accredited O.T. program with a minimum of BS in O.T. and must possess an Illinois license or be eligible.
  • Applicants must be highly motivated, experienced, and professional, able to start programs, be mentors, and work independently in the inpatient, outpatient, early intervention, and home health settings.
  • Current and valid Illinois Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and car insurance is required.

Physical Therapist 

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing highly skilled evaluations and patient care for in-patients, out-patients, swing-bed, early intervention (optional), and home health clients.  Physical Therapy clients may include infants, toddlers, preschoolers, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population.

Qualifications:  

  • Preferred graduates from an accredited P.T. program with a minimum Doctorate Degree in P.T. and must possess an Illinois license or be eligible.
  • Applicants must be highly motivated, experienced, and professional, able to start programs, be mentors, and work independently in the inpatient, outpatient, early intervention, and home health settings.
  • Current and valid Illinois Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and car insurance is required.
  • Good handwriting, excellent communication skills, good computer operation skills, and operation of patient care equipment.

This is a full-time position. Hours of Work: 8:00 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday and weekends as needed on a rotation basis. The expected pay is $38.94-46.53. Experience, skills, and internal equity will determine the actual pay.


EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic

We are seeking EMS employees.  The successful candidate will be responsible for treating ill and injured patients of all age groups. The EMT or Paramedic will perform skilled work while operating in an approved mobile medical unit, rescuing victims and performing advanced emergency care, including administering life-sustaining treatment to patients on-site and en route to the hospital. The candidate will be an active team member in the Emergency Department and positively influence the organization.

Qualifications:
Must have valid EMT, AMET, or Illinois Paramedic license.
ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS (or ITLS) required for AEMT and Paramedic applicants.
CPR required for all applicants.

Hours of Work: PRN (Per Diem). The expected pay is $17.00-23.00. Experience, skills, and internal equity will determine the actual pay.


Registered Nurse- Emergency Department

We are seeking Emergency Department Registered Nurses (ED RNs). The ED RN provides and delivers quality nursing care for patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Department. The ED RN works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications: Must have valid Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure. ACLS and PALS required. TNCC or TNS preferred or willing to obtain. Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing preferred.
