Registered Nurse- Med/Surg Department

Hours of Work: 6:30pm-7:00am (Full-time)

Qualifications: Registered Professional Nurse with current Illinois license, CPR & ACLS certified or willing to obtain.


CNA/Telemetry Tech

Hours: 7am to 7:30pm, Full-time  (Every other weekend)

Responsibilities:

This person will perform patient care as defined by scope of practice and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:

  • Telemetry experience or willing to learn telemetry.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant who has successfully completed a certification course and is listed on the State of Illinois CNA Registry.
  • CPR certification required.

Case Manager RN/Social Worker

Hours: 40 hours per week, 1st shift days- Full-time (Days/hours may vary)

Responsibilities:

Provides, coordinates, and facilitates patient care in the following areas: discharge planning, swing bed, utilization review and ACO activities in the hospital setting.  Assists the hospital team in coordinating patient care from admission throughout the hospital stay, discharge and continues after discharge. Assists with organizing services across provider lines between team members and systems to affect optimal patient outcome, achieve continuity of care, reduce costs, and reduce readmissions. Serve as a utilization management resource to determine appropriateness of admission, level of care and continued stay.

Qualifications:

4 years’ clinical experience required. Prior case management and utilization review experience including knowledge of MCG and/or InterQual preferred. Highly motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills. BLS certification required.

For RN applicant: Current Illinois RN license. BSN preferred.

For Social Worker applicant: Current Illinois LCSW license. MSW required


Information Systems Assistant

Hours: 10 hour shifts, Full-time (Available for call)

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of Information Systems (IS) development, maintenance and support functions with minimal supervision.  Responsibilities may include but not limited to: design and development of forms and reports for software applications and website, administration and technical support of the hospital’s computer network and client-server software, preventive maintenance, cabling (install and removal), analysis of both network and electrical systems, as well as providing technical support and coordination of IS training and presentation resources.


Clinical Informatics Assistant

Hours: 8 hour shifts x 5 days or 10 hour shifts x 4 days (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

  • The Clinical Informatics Assistant serves as the primary interface between nursing, patient care, physicians, and Information Technology services to ensure multi- and inter-disciplinary project coordination.
  • The Clinical Informatics Assistant will participate in communications and project planning regarding system implementation and integration with Mason District Hospital initiatives.
  • This position requires the specialist to be knowledgeable about the nursing process and nursing practice, relevant regulatory mandates, and principles of quality/safety improvement.
  • Travel required for job related education.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum LPN license required (RN preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills including knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and be knowledgeable in the secure use of the Internet and email systems.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, relate well with others, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) and ability to multitask.

Prior Authorization Tech

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the manager, performs assigned duties, including telephonic support for on-line authorization of routine services, contacting providers, monitoring patient eligibility, and performing on-line data entry of prior authorizations/denials.

Hours: 10am – 6:30pm (Full-time/Every Other Weekend)

Qualifications:

Director of Quality, Infection Prevention and Employee Health

Hours: 8am – 4:30pm (Full-time)

Qualifications: 

  • Registered Nurse with current state Illinois license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • At least 3-5 years Quality/Process Improvement within healthcare required.
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention preferred or have worked in Infection Prevention previously.
  • Knowledge of Employee Health for a hospital or healthcare organization.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective and corrective actions for improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • provide strategic direction and oversight for the Quality, Infection Prevention and the Employee Health program for Mason District Hospital.
  • responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the delivery of exceptional, reliable, evidence-based, quality care and infection prevention to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • collaborate with all staff including the board of directors, physicians, clinical staff and others to ensure quality improvement and infection prevention is shared within all departments, while working closely with Human Resources for Employee Health.

Hours:  6:00PM- 6:30AM (Full-time with weekends)

Qualifications: Must have valid Illinois EMT-B or CNA certification and valid CPR card.

Responsibilities: Responsible for performing various patient care activities and related non-professional services including determining patient’s needs, providing direct care, monitoring vital signs and assisting with admissions, transfers and discharge of patients. Responsibilities also include registration of patients through the hospital computer system. Must have CNA or EMT-B license.


Emergency Department Tech

Hours: Part-time

Qualifications: Must have valid Illinois EMT-B or CNA certification and valid CPR card.

Radiology Tech

Hours: PRN (Per Diem)

Qualifications:

Illinois State License and ARRT Certification

Conducts or participates in routine and specialized Radiographic, CT, and possibly other procedures for which competency has been demonstrated.  This requires independent judgement and the ability to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results under the direction of a Radiologist.

Applicant must be able to problem solve, self-motivate and be capable of critical thinking.


Senior Advantage–Licensed Clinical Social Worker—Outpatient Therapist

Hours:  Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (Full-time)

Requirements:

  • LCSW is required, Master’s degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Social Work or Psychology
  • Illinois licensure

Job Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for treating ill and injured patients of all age groups. The EMT or Paramedic will perform skilled work while operating in an approved mobile medical unit, rescuing victims and performing advanced emergency care including the administration of life sustaining treatment to patients on-site and while in route to hospital. The candidate will be an active team member in the Emergency Department and be a positive influence in the organization.

Job Duties:
The ED RN ensures the delivery of and provides quality nursing care for patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Department. The RN works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The RN will incorporate caring for all patients in all settings, and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following: A comprehensive nursing assessment, the development of a plan of nursing care to be integrated within the patient centered health care plan, and setting goals to meet identified health care needs, determining nursing interventions, and implementation of nursing care through the execution of nursing strategies and regimens ordered or prescribed by authorized healthcare professionals. The Registered Nurse will administer medication in a timely manner. The nurse will delegate duties to comply with the patient’s current plan of care and advocate for patients. The Registered Nurse will evaluate responses to interventions and the effectiveness of the plan of care. The nurse must communicate and collaborate with other health care professionals as needed to ensure continuity of care.
