When you check into the hospital or the clinic, we will ask you about insurance coverage and your plans for paying your medical bills. Usually, one of these three situations will occur:
Our Business Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to talk with you or meet with you to discuss payment of your bills. We can help you with the following:
First – We assist in confidential, financial counseling to help guide patients towards gaining access to government sources of medical assistance including Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Programs, Medicare, and other state and local programs for patients who are eligible for assistance.
Second – You will be asked to fill out an application that will allow us to determine whether you qualify for the charity care program or discounted care program. You may pick up the application at the Mason District Hospital Business Office or print out the one here on our web site.
Third – We will work with you to establish a payment plan to meet your needs for any remaining balance.
Mason District Hospital offers the services of a trained and experienced health care billing specialist to help you through the process of paying your medical bills, whether you have insurance or not.
